New Teenage Drive Information effective July 1, 2011

For teens receiving their permit after July 1st of this year, 2011 the new law applies. For teens already in possession of their permit, they are grandfathered into the new law and need not worry.

Teen get permit

Parents fill out form, sign it and get it notarized

Teen must complete 60 hours in 6 month period. Only 10 hours per week can be earned at a time.

Teens are only allowed to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the first 6 months of driving.

Hurricane Preparedness... What do I need to know?

Should I evacuate or stay? Try not to make the choice early

Make a video of your home and belongings or take pictures for added proof of personal property and condition it is in before the storm hits.

Gas up to avoid long lines at the station or limited supply of fuel

If you plan to travel, get hotel reservations ahead of time or if you have pets, make sure the hotel will accept them.

If you plant to stay, fill up your bath tubs with water and have distilled water or bottled water on hand as well. Power outages can be a hardship.

If you plan to stay, have pantry type food on hand to hold you over until power is restored and businesses are open again.

If you plan to stay, have Flashlights & First Aid Kit ready.

Remove yard objects that could be picked up and thrown by the win causing damage to your property.
